Ooh baby, we've got some good fishing. First of all, we are the striped bass, (rockfish), capital of the world. Our annual rockfish tournament attracts the best fishermen in the world. Presidents, kings and queens, prime ministers, ambassadors, celebrities, and regular joes like us have all fished the waters off Virginia Beach. We all had a good time too!
There are several ways to get your bait wet here in Virginia Beach. There's pier fishing, surf fishing (where permitted), head boat, deep sea and charter boat fishing. There are a few places where you can just walk up and dangle your bait for free. If you are on a boat that already has a fishing license you are covered, but if you are on your own you will need to buy a license, (they are only $5 for a 10 day temporary license).
