1. Check to see if the business has taken control over their Google Places Account - http://maps.google.com/ - If so skip to number
2. If not, login to their Gmail account and set up the Google Places Account. If no Gmail account, set one up. To access the Google Local Business Center click here - http://www.google.com/localbusinesscenter - If you are logged into Gmail using the customer's account - you will either see thier Google Places Account info, or it wil give you the chance to find and take control over their business.
3. Google Coupons (part of their Google Places Account). Discuss the benefits of coupons and how Google Coupons are designed to be viewed and presented using cellphones. Paperless coupons are the future. Create at least one coupon today and copy down the "all coupons" link address.
4. Show them the "We're a Favorite Place on Google" window sticker and our sticker that's designed to accompany it. Explain about the "bar code."
4. Google Calendar. Go to their Gmail acount and access their calendar. Click on ADD and create a new public calendar for them. Add us as approved administrators of their calendar (if they think they may need some help).
5. Set up Google Photos (Picassa Web) account for photo storage. http://picasaweb.google.com/home
6. Set up YouTube account and set up "Channel" page. http://www.youtube.com/
7. Facebook Business Page, (must be logged in as the business owner/manager). http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
8. Set up Facebook Username (example - www.facebook.com/vabeachdotcom) - http://www.facebook.com/username/
9. Optional - Set up Twitter account. Only useful if the account will be "fed" at least daily with some sort of valuable info. http://twitter.com/
